Optimal cargo protection with native insulation

Cargo insulation: no more container rain
Insulated against challenging conditions
Challenging weather and temperature fluctuations with inadequate protection are responsible for 14% of all cargo damage!
AELER’s composite walls are 3x better insulated than a standard steel container, eliminating the need for additional, single-use insulation materials or desiccant bags.
Stay within your red-line temperature limits by limiting thermal variations.
Game changer for the reduction of condensation
Humidity and condensation damage around 20% of goods transported by shipping containers.
By reducing thermal variations AELER’s container lowers the dew point and significantly reduces risk of container rain.
Preserving cargo quality
AELER’s UnitOne is insulated by default, minimising temperature variations. A standard steel container has a thermal loss of 320W/K vs. our UnitOne composite container at 105W/K, making it comparable to a non-operating reefer.
Additionally, you can ship up to 11% more volume than a reefer.
All this translates to a cost-effective solution, cutting down on time and money by eliminating the need for supplementary accessories and the reheating time.
Your cost-effective replacement to a non-operating reefer
From medicines and foodstuffs to pharmaceutical devices and electronics, temperature and humidity control are paramount. With passive insulation, avoid additional insulation materials and enjoy a worry-free and cost-effective alternative to non-operating reefers
One of our customers ships chemicals from Singapore to New Zealand and back. The journey involves wide temperature differences between day and night, and we maintained a minimum temperature variation inside the container with no added protection or insulation
Insulation field test with melting ice
AELER performed a field test to compare the thermal behaviour between four different types of ISO shipping containers each loaded with 500L tank of ice:
- AELER’s UnitOne
- Standard dry container
- Insulated standard dry container
- Non-operating reefer (NOR)
The thermal performance of the containers was assessed by measuring how long it takes to melt a specific quantity of ice:
- Compared to an "insulated" dry container, the ice takes 18% longer to melt in AELER UnitOne.
- Compared to a dry container, it takes 27% longer for the ice to melt in AELER UnitOne.
- The AELER container is very close to the NOP insulation capabilities.
